Mussoorie, a picturesque hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, is often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills.” Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayan range, it sits at an altitude of approximately 2,005 meters (6,578 feet). The town is renowned for its scenic beauty, pleasant climate, and colonial charm. Popular attractions include the Mall Road, offering stunning views of the Doon Valley, and Gun Hill, the second highest point in Mussoorie. Other notable sites are Kempty Falls, Camel’s Back Road, and the Mussoorie Lake. The town is also a gateway to the Yamunotri and Gangotri shrines, attracting numerous tourists and pilgrims. With its lush green hills, varied flora and fauna, and numerous trekking and adventure activities, Mussoorie provides a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The best time to visit Mussoorie is March to June for pleasant weather and outdoor activities, or October and November for a moderate climate.
A weekend trip of 2-3 days is enough for a quick visit to see the main sights in Mussoorie, while a 4-day trip allows for a more relaxed pace and the inclusion of nearby attractions.
